Device Tests
Check microphone input, preview your webcam, inspect keyboard and mouse events, read controller inputs, and visually check screen pixels in your browser.
Start with the device showing a problem. Each check pairs a local browser tool with practical troubleshooting and an explanation of what the browser can actually observe.

Choose a device check
Audio
Microphone Test
Check that your microphone is detected and picking up sound, with a live input level meter.
Speaker Test
Play left, right and reference tones to check each speaker is working, on the correct side and free of obvious distortion.
Left / Right Headphone Test
Verify stereo channels, wiring and balance by playing audio to the left and right sides separately.
Camera
Webcam Test
See your camera feed, confirm the right device is selected and check framing before a call.
Input Devices
Touch Screen Test
Map touch coverage, compare simultaneous contacts and watch for unexpected touch events reported by your browser.
Keyboard Ghosting & Key Rollover Test
Hold combinations together and compare browser-observed keys, presets and maximum simultaneous input.
Mouse Polling Rate Test
Estimate browser-delivered mouse event rate over ten seconds with median intervals and sample context.
Keyboard Test
Press keys to confirm every one registers, and find stuck, dead or repeating keys.
Mouse Test
Check buttons, double-clicks, scrolling and pointer movement for a failing or erratic mouse.
Gamepad / Controller Test
Check buttons, triggers and analog sticks, including stick drift and dead-zone behaviour.
Display
Monitor Test
Inspect manually selected colors, gradients, uniformity and geometry patterns without automatic defect claims.
Dead Pixel Test
Run full-screen solid colours to reveal dead, stuck or discoloured pixels on your display.
Screen Resolution Test
See the resolution, viewport size, pixel ratio and colour depth your browser reports.
Refresh Rate Test
Estimate the refresh rate your display is actually running at, with the limits of the method stated.
What browser-based device testing can tell you
Start with the symptom, not a diagnosis
For a silent microphone, check whether the browser receives sound before changing application settings. For a camera problem, inspect the local preview and selected device. Keyboard and mouse checks show the input events reaching this page; they cannot identify every fault inside a switch or sensor.
Inspect controller inputs and screen pixels differently
The controller test reads browser-reported buttons, triggers and stick coordinates. Its resting-offset measurement can help you repeat a drift check, but does not reveal a game's internal deadzone. The screen test displays nine solid colours for you to inspect: it does not automatically detect pixels or determine the exact hardware defect.
What a successful browser check tells you
A working input or preview confirms that this browser can receive it under the current permissions, operating-system settings and connection. It does not guarantee that another app uses the same device or settings. If a problem appears only in a call or game, compare that app's selected input and configuration with the browser check.
Repeat before deciding what to change
Check permission settings, reconnect the device where appropriate, and repeat the same action. A different browser or connection can help distinguish a browser restriction from a persistent symptom. Browser-reported camera resolution and screen dimensions are not a complete physical hardware specification, and these checks are not manufacturer-grade diagnostics.
Tests process input locally. Microphone and webcam access starts only after your action, and media is not recorded or uploaded. For measurement principles and the limits that apply across tests, read our methodology; data handling is explained in the privacy policy.
